Early breakfast, and transfer to the airport in the morning to board a flight at 05:55 hrs to arrive Nagpur at 07:40 hrs. Meet at the airport and a 2-hour drive to the Pench National Park. There is no better base for exploring Pench Tiger Reserve with the chance to enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep outside under the stars. Waking to the sound of the birds, monkeys and even the odd alarm call is exciting and makes this a very special place to stay. As well as daily game drives you will have the opportunity to explore the local village of Jamtara, gaining a fascinating insight into rural village life. Evenings spent around a blazing log fire comparing wildlife and sharing pictures is the perfect way to end the day.
2 Game Drive

After two nights in Pench, it is now off to Kanha National Park. Your drive through rural India takes you to Kanha National Park. Its lush forests, meadows and ravines provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. The largest wildlife sanctuary in Asia, Kanha was one of the first Project Tiger reserves in India and is home to tiger, leopard, wolf, jackal, sloth bear, macaque, wild dog, and a stunning spectrum of birds. On jungle safaris in open 4×4 vehicles, watch for shy creatures hiding in the grasses and listen to the vibrant sounds of nature – mating calls, alarms, even casual roars. Walks can also be arranged, as well as visiting the local villages.

After three nights at kanha, it is now off to Bandhavgarh which you will reach with a four hour drive. Each park you will visit has its own distinct characteristics and mix of wildlife to keep your sighting experiences varied. Bandhavgarh however, with its open grasslands and steep rocky outcrops has the highest tiger density in the Subcontinent and therefore offers a good chance of a coveted sighting. It is also a magical park for other reasons; during your three nights here, you can drive up a steep mountain in the centre of the park to visit the remote temple and deserted fort, then look down on the expanse of the park, perhaps even watching eagles catching the thermals below.
